Apple tries to keep details of its launches secret – and the latest leak is suspected to be due to a rogue employee.

They are thought to have leaked the secret, complicated URLS where the new operating system could be downloaded to the news websites.

‘I’m nearly certain this wasn’t a mistake, but rather a deliberate malicious act by a rogue Apple employee,’ respected tech blogger John Gruber wrote.

‘More surprises were spoiled by this leak than any leak in Apple history.’

Apple refuses to comment on speculation ahead of its product launches.
